Seeing as the Rays have not given me much to be happy about so far this season, I am going to look at other teams failures to make myself feel better;

Did anyone else catch the Yankees game yesterday?

This brought me happiness like you wouldn't believe.

Think this might work?

Ok so one of the classes I'm taking this semester is Ethics in Pop Culture/Entertainment. Later in the semester we have an application paper due.

Application Project – Fall 2008

1. Choose a movie that has some type of moral dilemmas. It is advised that you choose something you may have recorded, as you may have to watch it more than once for this assignment. You MUST get approval from me for your movie/show…no repeats, so choose quickly.

2. In NO MORE than one page (double spaced, approx 250 -300 words), no more, explain the main plot of the show or movie. Please use your own words.

3. In NO MORE than two paragraphs describe each of the main characters.

4. In NO LESS than one page identify the moral issues in the storyline. You will want to address where you believe the moral tension or dilemmas are. (if you have forgotten what a moral issue is you should see chapter one of the old ethics book)

5. Come up with a list of five discussion questions similar to the ones that we have done in class. Questions should NOT be specific to the movie/show, but rather, should be issue specific so that we may all be able to participate. These questions will be presented to the class. You should be prepared to moderate the discussion of the questions.

I'm thinking Battlestar Galactica: Razor. I would love to get the whole series in general (hey it does say show up there for the main plot part), but I don't know if that would be overdoing it or not.

Anyone knowledgeable about cell phones?

Mine has issues... I think. About two weeks ago the battery was real low, I charged it. It was fully charged, and yet it still claimed it had to charge. A few days ago I had it set so it would ring and it was loud enough so I would hear it, I got two calls, and it did not make a sound. Today I went to turn it on and acted like it would turn on, and then it turned off. I was able to get it to turn on, and I know it was charged. The first two things have only occurred once the third 3 times. So my question is there something wrong with my phone? I've told dad and the first issue he said maybe I needed a new battery, the second he said maybe I needed a new ringtone, the third maybe I needed to remove the battery and clean the battery contacts (they were clean btw) or maybe I held the button too long or maybe the phone just had a problem and needed to restart. Dad says he doesn't know why mine is having "problems", because his hasn't had one.

Finally!

I've been looking for MarioKart for the Wii since the end of May/beginning of June, and I found it this morning in Target! It is a lot of fun, but I swear the game has it out for me. I was playing as Yoshi, the computer had like 11 characters in it's control and it kept hitting me with shells and knocking me off cliffs.

Oooh! And I got a free $5.00 promotional gift card. It just ticks me off that it has to be used on another purchase.

Ok... I think I need a happy random post.

Has anyone ever noticed the Writer's Block thingy on here?

Each day that I log in I always check what the question is... just because.

BTW, I'm thinking about answering the one from the 22nd. The question, If you could be cast on any TV show, from any time, who would you play?

My Sweet Big Baby

Bear is going to the vet tomorrow for blood work, and we do not expect the results to be good. He isn't acting anything like himself and his blood sugar is above 500 (our meter only goes to 500, so we don't have any any idea how far above 500 it is). Both of those things could be explained by the prednisone... but he keeps losing weight, even the though he is getting plenty of food (he's getting the recommended amount of dog food... the same amount he has always gotten and he's getting steak on top of that)... We think he's dying.

Sims

Last night I was playing The Sims 2. For some reason when Kara hopped out of the shower she was wearing a skirt. Not being able to find her jeans, she and Sammy went shopping for clothes. Kara nearly freaked when they ran into Lee at the store. Lee wanted to dance with Kara and admire Sam. Well, anyways, Kara not ready to buy stuff yet, sat down as Sammy tried on a new jacket (it’s going to be winter soon). Kara snuck into his dressing room, and they woohooed. Naturally Lee ran over and was all

CHEATER! So he slapped Kara, then she attacked him (Sammy found it quite entertaining

). Lee ran off, and Kara bought some jeans, and two video games (C&C 3 TW and My Sims), and then she and Sammy went home and ate dinner.
